The purpose of the APPG British Hindus is to provide a platform for parliamentarians to engage with and represent the interests of British Hindus, while encouraging dialogue and understanding with wider society.

Our commitments

Advocacy and representation

Providing a voice for the British Hindu community in Parliament and raising awareness of issues affecting them, while ensuring community views are considered in policy and legislation.

Community engagement

Regularly engaging through events and consultations to understand needs and concerns, promote community cohesion, and encourage dialogue between different faiths and cultures.

Promotion of Hindu culture

Promoting the rich and diverse culture of the Hindu community in the UK and raising awareness of the contribution British Hindus make to society.

Policy development

Developing policy proposals and recommendations that reflect the needs and interests of the British Hindu community, and ensuring they are considered by decision-makers.

Our aim is to ensure the views and concerns of Hindus are heard and considered by policymakers.
